  • Help guests with entry into The Old Course Ballot

  • Assist Old Course Hotel Guests with the hiring of golf equipment during their stay

  • Full golf club and shoe cleaning service

  • Arrange golf lessons and clinics with The Duke’s PGA Professionals

Meet the Team

  • Malcolm Wowk

    Head of Golf Services

    Having grown up and lived in St Andrews all his life Malcolm boasts a strong knowledge of golf in and around Scotland. He is a proud member of The Duke’s and The St Andrews Golf Club.

    “Ultimately, we are here to exceed the expectations of golfers staying at the Old Course Hotel. What I enjoy the most is meeting our guests and hearing about their experiences on the golf course. Every day I get to talk about golf and the town of St Andrews, so I guess I am in the right job!”

  • Matthew McCulloch

    Golf Services Supervisor

    Matthew represented Scotland at The Boys Home Internationals in 2016 and played NCAA Collegiate Golf, graduating from Colorado State University-Pueblo in 2020.

    “St. Andrews has always been a special place for my family and I to visit growing up. Now, being able to share the love of golf and St. Andrews with guests brings great job satisfaction. I enjoy the part I play in maximising guests’ experience of the Old Course Hotel and golf in and around St. Andrews.”

  • The Duke's

    Part of the Old Course Hotel Golf Resort & Spa, the spectacular Duke’s Course offers breath taking views of St Andrews and the surrounding areas with a scenic and challenging layout. The Duke’s was created on an old Scottish country estate steeped in history and is regarded as the hidden gem of St Andrews. It remains the only heathland experience at the ‘Home of Golf’ and is a must-play for any visiting golfer to the area.

  • Kingsbarns Links

    Located around 30 minutes from the Old Course Hotel, the beautiful Kingsbarns delivers in every aspect. Co-host to the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship it is a fine example of the new wave of links golf. The golf course hugs the Fife coast and boasts some very picturesque holes whilst remaining playable for all level of golfers.

  • The Old Course

    The historic Old Course is widely recognised as the most famous golf course in the world and gives you goose pimples just thinking about playing it. From the moment you arrive on the first tee you feel as if you have rewound the clock back to the time when this great game was created. Host to 30 Open Championships the Old Course is the ultimate bucket list trip.

  • Dumbarnie Golf Links

    Also located around 30 minutes from the Old Course Hotel, Scotland’s newest golf course offers a great variety of holes with panoramic views out to the Firth of Forth. The design incorporates several risk and reward holes and leaves you wanting more. A golf course not to be missed.
